Nathan Nguyen
I'm a Mechanical Engineering student at Kettering University with a Manufacturing minor and a passion for robotics, space exploration, electric vehicles, and hands-on manufacturing. My work spans collegiate and high school robotics, particle-accelerator tooling, CNC machining, and 3D printing.
What I'm Doing Now
Current roles, projects, and responsibilities I’m focused on.
Designing, fabricating, and documenting tooling for particle accelerator structures, including SOL linear accelerator builds, TPV tooling, RF component fixtures, and test equipment for government and research customers
Lead mechanical design, fabrication, strategy, and team operations for Kettering’s VEX U robotics team, with work across CAD, prototyping, 3D printing, CNC manufacturing, robot assembly, and competition preparation
Mentoring OA Robotics teams across FRC, FTC, and V5RC by supporting robot design, competition preparation, team organization, and student leadership
